The VERY NEXT DAY after I get off travel lockdown, the USCIS announces that they are eliminating the requirement for I-485 receipt notices, essentially making the receipt I waited two months for useless.
It was certainly the right thing to do, but come on, seriously, couldn't they have done it back in August???
